Companies are being offered the opportunity to create their own bespoke properties, as part of a pre-let arrangement on a 30-acre site to the south side of the park.
Mark Holmes of Moorfield Group said: “This is exciting news which represents the natural evolution of Westway Park. It will act as a catalyst for wider development in the area. The park is designed to provide flexibility in accommodation type and services, all set within a modern, high quality, secure environment.”
The 30-acre site has planning consent and is being marketed for design and build development that can be accommodated alongside existing occupiers. Buildings can be designed and constructed to occupiers’ requirements, typically of steel portal frame construction. The site also benefits from landscaped grounds, with dedicated yardage and car parking facilities. The proposed buildings will be built to BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environment Assessment Method) ratings, showing Westway’s commitment to energy efficiency and carbon reduction.
“This news is a welcome boost for Renfrewshire and the West of Scotland”, said Derek Mackay, MSP for Renfrewshire North and West. “The wider development of Westway is likely to encourage economic growth and new occupiers could bring additional skilled jobs to the area over the next few years.”
Andrew McCracken of Jones Lang LaSalle added: “The design and build option at Westway offers an exciting opportunity to set up the perfect property solution. It offers occupiers total flexibility on a pre-let arrangement to develop a quality building which is bespoke to their exact business requirements.
“Westway will significantly enhance the commercial property offering in the area and we are confident that it will appeal to discerning occupiers seeking to develop their business in the West of Scotland.”
Westway has worked in partnership with ADF Architects and joint letting agents, Jones Lang LaSalle and GVA James Barr on this project.
