Cash4Clothes has just opened a new recycling distribution centre at Unit G1 at Westway Park in Renfrew. The unit, with high eaves height, extends to 21,000 sqft, along with surfaced yard and car parking facilities. The lease term is six-years with an annual rental of £40,000.
The textile recycling charity has 35 branches across Scotland and this centre will serve the West Central Scotland area, with deliveries being made to Westway for storage and sorting, prior to distribution across Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa. The centre will support a workforce of between 15 and 20 people.
Speaking on behalf of the park owner, Hugh Canham from Moorfield Group said: “We are delighted to welcome such a worthwhile charity to Westway. Cash4Clothes offers an interesting addition to our tenant mix.”
Craig Semple of Bilfinger GVA added: “The secure site and excellent communication links were viewed as major benefits to the occupier, along with the specification of the unit, with offers great height for container storage and the generous yardage for vehicles.
“Westway continues to prove extremely attractive to a range of occupiers and we are very pleased by the continuing high levels of interest.”
Joint agents JLL and Bilfinger GVA advised Moorfield Group, whilst Cash4Clothes was self-represented.
