A Scottish firm which aims to improve the supply chain for wind turbine components across the UK is expanding from its current base in Argyll.
In a strategic move, Lochgilphead-based Renewable Parts has agreed a ten-year lease on Unit L7 at the park on ten-year lease. The unit extends to 5,000 sqft and assists the company with expansion plans.
Ewan Anderson, managing director said: “Our role is to improve the supply chain for wind turbines in the UK. We started in the maintenance industry, servicing wind turbines in Argyll, but developed into a parts distribution business, where we hold stock for a large number of different turbines and have engineers and experts in-house that can assess compatibility. We supply products and distribute wind turbine components for several European manufacturers and significantly reduce lead times to ensure that turbines remain on grid and keep producing.
Andrew McCracken, of JLL added: “Renewable Parts is an ideal addition to the occupier base at Westway – the park provides an excellent and accessible location for this expanding business.”
