Canmoor secures deal double for Block L at Westway
John Brown Caterhire signs for new base at Glasgow Airport estate
Canmoor has completed a double letting at Westway, headlined by a significant move from Scotland’s largest catering and event hire specialist, John Brown Caterhire.
The company has signed a five-year lease on Unit 7E at Block L, securing 4,662 sq ft of warehouse space and a small office, as part of its ongoing growth strategy and continued recovery following the challenges faced by the events industry during and after the Covid-19 pandemic.
The move represents an important milestone for the business, which will retain its existing storage facility at Drumoyne while establishing Westway as a key operational hub. Around 12 employees, approximately 60% of the company’s workforce, will be based at the new facility.

Alongside the John Brown Caterhire letting, local vehicle accident repair specialist Gormac Coachworks Ltd has agreed a ten-year lease on neighbouring Unit 7D, which extends to 5,663 sq ft.

The deals come amid continued positive momentum across the estate, with the next phase of speculative development at Westway Court progressing well.
The £15 million ‘best in class’ development will deliver nine high-quality warehouse and industrial units ranging from 6,430 sq ft to 37,560 sq ft, with the flexibility to combine units to create up to 91,560 sq ft of accommodation. Completion is targeted for Q3 2027.
Westway benefits from excellent connectivity, with quick and direct access to Junction 28 of the M8 via the Barnwell Street Bridge. Located adjacent to Glasgow Airport and the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland (AMIDS), the estate provides occupiers with convenient access to key transport infrastructure, labour markets and innovation hubs.
